Segmented merchandising gives you the power to merchandise while directly targeting any group of shoppers that you can identify in your ecommerce platform. This can include all kinds of broad applications:
- Logged-in vs. guest shoppers
- Shopper membership levels
- Targeting shopper demographics such as gender
You can configure targets by opening a campaign and clicking the Targeting toolbox, which is the second from the top in the left-hand menu.
When the toolbox opens, you'll see two options at the top left: Pages and Segments.
Pages
Control where your campaign appears by targeting pages like search results, categories, and filtered views. It will apply to any pages that match the conditions below. Learn more about page targeting here.
Segments
Control where your campaign appears by targeting segments based on shopper behavior or attributes. It will apply to any pages that contain the segment tag below. Learn more about using segments here.
Locations
Control where your campaign appears by targeting shopper location. It will apply to the locations selected below. Learn more about location targeting here.
