The Visual Merchandising editing interface is split into four major pieces:
- Campaign Summary
- Banner Preview
- Toolboxes
- Product Grid
Campaign Summary
The Campaign Summary is an overview of your campaign's scenario. It also includes the campaign title, which is for you to reference this campaign and does not appear anywhere on your public site.
Banner Preview
The Banner Preview section allows you to preview any rich banner content you've added to your campaign.
Toolboxes
The Toolboxes offer many powerful customizations and helpers related to your campaign.
Product Grid
The Product Grid shows you what your product listing will look like. It helps you manage pinned products, offers a cursor that allows more flexibility over promotion placement (see below), and shows you how boost rules affect the ordering of products.
Cursor
The cursor allows more precise control over where products are promoted to on the product listing. Products that are promoted by double-clicking or through the Products toolbox will always be placed immediately after the cursor, which is indicated by the grey vertical cursor in the product grid.
By default, the cursor will be at the beginning of the listing, and can be changed by clicking between any two products in the grid.
Mouse over the space between any two products to show where the cursor could be repositioned when you click. In the example below, we are mousing over the products to the left of the existing black cursor. The new cursor position is shown in gray, since we haven't clicked yet to confirm the new location.
