Custom Sorts on Filters

Athos Commerce provides several strategies to sort the values presented to your customers in each filter in your Filtering options. This includes sorting alphabetically, by the number of results each option represents (Count), in reverse alphabetical order, by clothing sizes, etc. However, sometimes your filter options may require a specific sort that is not covered by one of these strategies. This is when you will utilize the Custom (Advanced) option.

In Search Customizations/Filtering, click the "+ Add Filter button to add a new filter. Then select the "Custom (Advanced)" option from the "Sort" drop-down menu.

Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window, where you will see the field "Custom Sort Values". In this field, type in values, one per line, in the order that you would like them to appear.

Note: Values in your feed that are not listed in this box will display after values that are specified. For example, a merchant lists the following "Color" values in the Custom Sort Values text box:

• Blue
• Yellow
• Red
• Orange

However, they also have "Black" as a "Color" attribute in their feed. On their website, the filter option order would look like this:

• Blue
• Yellow
• Red
• Orange
• Black

When your changes are complete, click the "Create Filter" button on the bottom right to create your custom filter sort.
