To create a campaign, go to Merchandising/Visual Merchandising and select "Campaigns". When the main Campaigns page opens, select either the Default Campaigns tab (formerly "Global Campaigns") or the Targeted Campaigns tab (Targeted campaigns include all other campaigns that are more targeted for merchandising strategy for search, category, landing pages, segments, and geographies).
Click the "Create Campaign" button at the top right.
A pop-up window will prompt you to choose the type of campaign to create.
A Search campaign will take effect when someone searches for a specific term.
A Category/Filter campaign will take effect when someone visits a category or any other filter value that you specify.
A Landing Page is a completely custom set of products created from scratch, which targets a specific Tag link that you can link to from any source on your website, email campaigns, social media, or otherwise.
A Location campaign will apply based on the shopper's location, such as "Australia".
A Segment campaign will apply based on specific shopper behavior or attributes, such as "Logged in".
Search Campaign
If you're creating a campaign to occur on a Search, click the "Search" button. A new question will appear asking you what query you'd like to merchandise. Enter the search term in the text box, then click the "Continue" button.
You can also set a campaign based on a "contains" search page context. Using "contains" means a merchandising campaign will occur any time a shopper's search query contains your specified search terms. Due to the many possible scenarios where a "contains" search context can take effect, these types of campaigns are limited to banner creation only. You can create this type by changing the query dropdown on the left to "contains".
Category/Filter Campaign
If you're creating a campaign specific to a category or other filter scenario, click the "Category/Filter" button. A new section will appear below, prompting you to define a filter. Select a filter from the left side dropdown, and then use the second box on the right to select the value you'd like to merchandise. (These boxes are both searchable to make it easier to find what you're looking for from the list.) The drop-down selection offers up to 10,000 values from the field you've selected.
Once you've made your selections, click the "Continue" button.
Landing Page Campaign
To create a new landing page campaign, simply click the Landing Page option and the system will take you straight to editing your fresh landing page. (Read the Landing Pages article for more information.)
Location Campaign
Click "Location" to create a new location campaign. The system will open a new window where you will select a target location. You may narrow down the selection by clicking the country/continent selections across the top of the window, or use the search box to search for a specific location. The window defaults to the United States, but you can easily select from multiple states (U.S.A. and Australia) and provinces (Canada) as well as countries. Note that you can choose multiple locations simply by clicking them.
Once you've made your selections, click the "Continue" button.
Segment Campaign
Click the "Segment" button to create a segment campaign, then click the "Continue" button. The system will open a new window where you can type the segment tag to use.
Once you've made your selections, click the "Continue" button.
