Prerequisites
- You have an active Klaviyo account with onsite tracking enabled on your store. Learn more about onsite tracking in Klaviyo.
- Your store is integrated Athos Search using our Snap Templates or our Snap SDK. If you are unsure of the Athos integration method, please contact support to help you with this.
| Note: If your site is implemented using our APIs, then you will need to directly connect your implementation to Klaviyo. To see how our Snap SDK performs this task, you can view our open source solution here. |
Enable the Klaviyo Search Events Plugin
If your site was implemented by Athos, reach out to customer support to enable our Klaviyo plugin.
If you have completed your own implementation using our Snap SDK, then use this guide to add the Klaviyo plugin to your configuration file.
Test the Connector
Once you have enabled the Klaviyo Plugin, you should start to receive Athos Search events in your Klaviyo admin panel activity feed. Note that you will need to be tracking shoppers' email or phone numbers either using a sign-up form or Klaviyo’s standard profile tracking events.
Go to your storefront where you have enabled the Klaviyo plugin. Perform a search and click on a product from the search results.
Click the Audience menu, then select "Profiles" and click a specific profile. In the "Metrics and Insights" tab, you should now see a new event, “Athos Commerce search click”, listed among all events shown on the right side of the panel.
You can also view each event's properties or event details.
Recommended next step
Now that you have configured and integrated the Klaviyo plugin with Athos, you can use Athos event data to create segments, email & SMS flows, etc. Read our detailed guide on using search events for segmentation here.
