Adding category pages after your initial launch for search results is straightforward.
Category Data
As long as you are using one of our existing cart integrations for data acquisition, we have all the data we need. If you are providing us with a custom data feed, you simply need to ensure that we have category information for each product. We recommend including a few pieces of data for this.
- Category ID: The category ID(s) for each product (for example: 4,8,22)
- Category Hierarchy: The category hierarchy for each product. You can find more information on this structure under the "Category Hierarchy Filter" section of Preparing Your Product Data for Athos (for example: Mens/Apparel/Shirts, Brands/Nike, Sale/Clearance)
Category Design
Once you have the category display in place, you can request Athos to integrate on your category pages by creating a support ticket via the Athos Help Desk. Please include any differences in design between your search and category pages. As long as there are no major differences, Athos should be able to integrate on your category pages with very little effort. (Please also include any cart admin logins we may need to edit your templates.) Magento customers should also include FTP access information.
Category Integration
Once we have your category data and design information, Athos can generally integrate on your category pages within two to three weeks. We generally integrate directly onto your cart, but if you'd prefer a mockup or for us to first integrate onto a dev site, let us know.
