Users often need to make a newly created field available in the Athos Commerce console in order to use this field as searchable data, to sort results with, and/or use as a filter in Athos-powered pages. Here's how to accomplish this.
Ensure the field is being passed
If your site uses a cart connection for the feed (such as for BigCommerce, Volusion, or Shopify), simply ensure that the custom field is created in your admin panel.
If your site uses a feed hosted on your end, simply ensure that this data feed (under Data/Data Sources) contains the field you'd like to add.
Check for New Fields
Then, at the top of the Data Sources page, click the Field Discovery link or the Field Discovery (Skip Extract) link to start the validation process, which will pick up any fields that have been added recently.
Configure the new field
Once the field discovery process is complete, go to Field Settings, where you will see the new field displayed. Now you're ready to configure the field's settings: the label, type, and multi-valued delimiter, and whether it should be used as a sort option, as a filter, or as searchable data.
