Personalization Settings: System Status tab

Data displayed on this form is from the last update run; it may not be current, in which case you will need to run an update by clicking the blue "Update" button at the top right of the page.

Typically, recommendations are updated after your product data is indexed. If there has been an error with updating recommendations, those errors will be reflected here. After rectifying any errors, you can manually re-generate product recommendations (by clicking the "Update" button) if there is a change to your configuration settings that should be processed before your next scheduled update.

Note: The bottom right of the screen displays the number of rows per page (which you can modify by clicking the drop-down arrow), total results, and navigation arrows to move forward and backward among the pages of rules displayed.

Data Science Updates

This section provides details on the data available for personalization.

• Current Status = This section displays the status of updates, whether they are in progress, complete, or pending.
• Last Updated = This section displays the date and time of the last update.

Note: Updates occur automatically when an index completes.

Overall Stats

A summary of your store's stats will appear at the top of the page, directly under Data Science Updates. This section displays an overview of the statistics from your last update, including total number of products, available and excluded products; known, active, and inactive customers; categories and brands; contextual groups; product views; and sales.

Click the "View All Stats" button to see all of the stats available to you. Click the "Close" button to return to the System Status tab.

Boosted Product Stats

This table displays details about products that have been given priority in relevant personalization results. It lists each of the active Boosted Product rules, and shows how many items matched each rule on the last update.

Note: The rule counts are not mutually exclusive. If a single product is boosted by multiple rules, it will be reflected in each count.

The table displays the following:

• Rules = This column displays all boosted product rules by the name of the product rule.
• Product Count = This column displays the total number of products that match the definition of the rule.

Contextual Group Stats

Contextual groups allow merchandisers to group products together so that they are only recommended when shoppers are viewing a product that is a member of that group. This table shows all of the groups that were created during the last update and the number of products in each group.

Note: The rule counts are not mutually exclusive. If a single product matches multiple groups, it will be reflected in each count.

The table displays the following:

• Groups = This column shows the name of each group that matched products in the last update.
• Product Count = This column shows the number of products in each group.

Excluded Product Stats

This table displays details of the total number of products that are excluded from recommendations. These products will not be recommended, but will still be used as seed items. For example, you might not want out-of-stock products to be recommended, but because a shopper could still find that product on your site, you want the ability to show recommendations on that product detail page, using that out-of-stock item as the seed. For example, it is a good idea to show similar items so shoppers can find an alternative that is available now.

Note: The rule counts are not mutually exclusive. If a single product is excluded by multiple rules, it will be reflected in each count.

The table displays the following:

• Rules = This column lists all of the rules that had matching products on the last update.
• Product Count = This column shows the number of products excluded by each rule, and also provides the total percentage of excluded items among all products. In this example, it is less than 1%.

Inactive Product Stats

Products added to the inactive state do not have recommendations calculated by the generator. These inactive products cannot be used as seed items, so listing products here will speed up your Data Science Updates. This value displays the number of inactive products that are excluded from the generator.

The table displays the following:

• Rules = This column lists all of the rules that had matching products on the last update.
• Product Count = This column shows the number of inactive products that matched each rule, and also provides the percentage of inactive items among all products.
