Note: Content Search is part of all service plans; however, it must be implemented, so if this feature was not implemented in your initial go-live, please speak with your Customer Success Manager.
Use a content search feed to allow your customers to search through your blogs just as quickly and easily as they do your products. You can select a collection of blogs by author or category, then sort them according to published date or popularity. Just as with products, Athos Commerce simply needs a data feed file to power your content search. Below is a list of required and recommended fields to include.
Supported Content Feed Formats
Your content feed can be in CSV, XML, or JSON format. Refer to our Data Sources Guide for samples of those formats while considering the content-specific data fields mentioned below.
Regardless of the format of your content feed, you will need to provide a hosted URL to your data feed, with that data feed updated on a regular basis to ensure your latest content records exist within that file.
Required Fields
In order to successfully generate blog pages as search results, the following fields need to be provided in the feed:
- ID
- Title
- URL
- Content
Recommended Fields
While not required for indexing, these additional fields provide information that can be used for additional filters and sort options, making it easier for your viewers to find the blogs they want. Some commonly used additional fields include the following:
- Image
- Author
- Date Published
- Category
Here is a sample feed in CSV format to help visualize what that looks like with all the information specified above.
