Common Indexing/Regeneration Issues

Below is a list of common indexing/regeneration issues that can cause an error. Once you've resolved your issue, you can manually sync data in the Athos Commerce Search & Product Discovery console (find more info about this here). If you have any questions or concerns about your index/data sync, please submit a ticket in our help desk.

General

Missing Feed

Check your feed location and please check that it is an accessible URL.

Feed Authentication

Check your Data Feed Security settings to ensure your username and password are correct.

Missing Items

If the number of items drops severely in a single index, Athos may refuse to index in order to avoid losing items due to a bad feed.

CSV

Wrong Delimiter

Make sure the delimiter set on the Data Sources page matches the delimiter being used in your file.

Empty Lines

Empty lines in a CSV feed are marked as incorrect records. If you have more than 25 incorrect records, Athos will error your index.

XML

Wrong XML Element Configuration

Check the "Record Element" and "Unique Key" fields on the Data Sources page to ensure they match your XML feed format.

Volusion

Volusion API Requires Reset

Due to limitations in the Volusion API, it occasionally needs to be reset. To reset your Volusion API:

1. Log into your Volusion Admin as $apiUser.
2. Go to Inventory > Import/Export.
3. Click the Volusion API Button.
4. Next to "Enable public XML for All Products", click the reset link.
5. Click "Run" next to \"Generic\Products".
6. Next to "Reset Generic Products", select the last date in the drop-down menu.
7. Click "Reset Export".

Volusion Password Change

When you change your Volusion password, your API Encrypted Password changes as well. Please update the Encrypted Password on the Data Sources page.

BigCommerce

HTTPS API Path

Make sure your API Path uses HTTPS instead of HTTP, as this is required by the BigCommerce API.
